A proposal of power plant with steam engine.
Peterka, Lubomír ; Fiedler, Jan (referee) ; Škorpík, Jiří (advisor)
The final thesis deals with the heating plant with piston steam engine design according to heat consumption background in the location of Velky Karlov and with the design of a heating scheme including its explicit parameters. Further on it deals with the possibilities of the heating plant output regulation and with the solution of natural gas and biomass heating plant operations aside the heating period.
Biomass Heating Power Plant Brno-nord
Saňka, Marek ; Skála, Zdeněk (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (advisor)
The master’s thesis topic is the feasibility study of new biomass source construction in power heating plant Brno-North. The first part is focused on historical and current conditions and future development of heat distributions networks and sources of Brno. The power heating plant operation Brno-North is described in more detail including the current heat scheme of operation and plan for the future development. Next chapters are focused on projection of new biomass source. At first, it is defined heat output, operation range and parameters of the new source based on the data of real needs after the heating network modernization. Afterward, selected conceptual variants of the new source are discussed in more detail and for each of the variants are performed heat balance calculation and assembled heat scheme of operation. At the same time it is processed warehouse management calculation and economic analysis of the project. The final chapter evaluates the technical and economic parameters of variants and recommends the most suitable variant of the project.
An advancement of heating plants system in Brno
Brabec, Vít ; Lízal, František (referee) ; Jaroš, Michal (advisor)
The content of this bachelor’s thesis is the examination of the advancement of heating plants system in Brno. The first part of the thesis introduces a brief overview of an eighty-year history of heating industry in Brno from the first ideas up to the current state. Next part closely describes the individual plants and the system of centralized heat supply. The last section compares heat supply through steam and hydrothermal pipe-line and its influence on the combined production of heat and electrical energy.
Type design and flowchart of a steam turbine for a specific location
Kalina, Leoš ; Pospíšil, Jiří (referee) ; Škorpík, Jiří (advisor)
This master's thesis is deals with type designing and implementing the steam turbine to the machine part of heat plant in reconstruction. The thesis consists of two parts. First part is theoretical explanation of the heating industry, steam turbines, thermal cycles and components of thermal power plants. Second part of the thesis describes the design and calculation of thermal diagrams based on turbine parameters, which were provided from Tenza, a.s. tender. There is a simplified calculation of technical-economic study in the conclusion of the thesis. The thesis output is recommendation of single final implementation solution for customer.
Cogeneration
Martinek, Jan ; Šnajdárek, Ladislav (referee) ; Fortelný, Zdeněk (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is intended to handle the issue of cogeneration. There is presented the principle of cogeneration and its benefits. Cogeneration is compared to the separate production of power and heat. This work deals with the storage of electric energy and heat and also deals with used batteries. The next chapter discusses the impact of cogeneration to environment and at the end there are mentioned the main Brno’s cogeneration units and central heat distribution in Brno.
Source for heat production in the Czech Republic
Macek, Robin ; Kracík, Petr (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with sources for heat production in the Czech Republic. The first part is a research part and is about used heating technology in our country. The second part is again research part and describes individually in more detail parts of the heat sources, as boils, turbines, heat exchangers a heat distribution. The next chapter compares advantages and disadvantages of central heat supply and local source of heat, first theoretically and then practically. The last part balances production of the heat and electricity from the point of view of the fuel used and the amount of production over the past 15 years.
Source for heat production in the Czech Republic
Bártová, Jana ; Kracík, Petr (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with thermal recources in the Czech Republic. The first part of the work is about the division and description of heating plants used for the production of thermal and electric energy. The second part of the thesis describes the advantages and disadvantages of district heating and individual heating. The last part of my work contains statistical processing of heat sources located in the Czech Republic.
Operation check of dredge pump
Pleban, Jakub ; Fiedler, Jan (referee) ; Skála, Zdeněk (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to consider the operation of dredge pump and design new technology of slag removal including return on investment calculation. The operation optimization itself was preceded by analysis of present technology, data collection, calculation of pressure losses and pinpointing the causes of their origin. Subsequently, the measures to elimination of losses were deduced and these measures were implemented into optimization of dredge pump operation itself. The return on investment into the new technology of slag removal is calculated in the last chapter, considering its feasibility in the heating plant.
Smart District Špitalka
Pelčák, Vlastimil ; Hybská, Bohumila (referee) ; Sedláček, Michal (advisor)
This thesis deals with an architectural case study of the urban block in the Svitava industrial zone bordered by the Svitava River in the east, Ring Road in the west, Milady Horákové Street in the north and Zvonařka Street in the south. Špitálka Smart City has been designed to be in this area. The thesis is modelled on the Špitálka Smart City urban study, that was the outcome of the pre-thesis seminar in the winter term 2020/21. The urban study objective was the urban renewal of the Brno teplárny (heating plant) area and its surroundings as well as a design of a new urban boulevard. The thesis focuses on a design of a selected urban block in the Smart City Špitálka. This mixed-use development provides commercial, administrative and residential functions. The block is divided into two parts; either part consists of three sections. Two underground storeys providing parking space and space for building services are intended for the whole block. The case study further develops only the section that is labeled Coworking offering six floors for coworking spaces. On the ground floor there are spaces for a café, commerce and also the main entry to the co-working offices. A sky-office and a venue for rent are located on the seventh floor. The venue can be used for a wide range of events from smaller conferences, through corporate meetings & teambuildings to private parties. Both the sky-office and the venue have access to the rooftop terrace. The design creates a modern office building concept in the former industrial zone.
Steam boiler for straw, saturated steam 0,4MPa output 3MW, and for distric heating system 6MW
Řezníček, Jan ; Kól, Přemysl (referee) ; Skála, Zdeněk (advisor)
The work is focused on the design heat generation source in my chosen location. The entire facility should be designed to meet the basic requirements of the client. The primary objective of this work is alternatively propose solutions to perform basic balance calculations and determine the performance of each device. Based on the location selected diagram to produce annual heat needs and recommend the best possible solution.
